Abstract
The process of settling of small water droplets in the cavity of the main oil pipeline after stopping the pumping was investigated. The regularities of the influence of seasonal factors on the sedimentation rate of water droplets had been revealed. A generalized formula was obtained for calculating the speed of movement of water droplets in motionless oil, depending on its physical and chemical properties and droplet size.
