Abstract
The materials of drilling of lateral boreholes are presented. The review is based on original atypical examples of the causes of accidents and methods of their elimination. The conclusion is made about the use of the accumulated experience of an atypical approach in ways of eliminating accidents, and it is this approach that allows in many cases to prevent and eliminate accidents
