A linguistic analysis of the representation of Meghan Markle in English-language mass-media

The article analyzes the functioning of the anthroponym "Meghan Markle" and its derivatives in modern English-language media discourse, offers a linguistic analysis of media representation of mixed ethnicity of the Duchess of Sussex, studies negative stereotyping by ethnicity and gender, particularly with the help of constructions with an adjective component “black” and invective nominations. Perspectives for further research of anthroponymic vocabulary within the system of the English language are outlined.
