REGIONAL SPECIALIZED SERVICE OF PEDIATRIC ONCOLOGY AND HEMATOLOGY IN THE CHELYABINSK REGION

In the Chelyabinsk Region, specialized care for children with oncological and hematological diseases has been provided for six decades. Since 2010, a specialized children's center has been successfully operating in the region. The traditions of the professional school, the team style of work, an interdisciplinary approach to solving problems, cooperation with colleagues from specialized centers and federal institutions have a great influence on the development of the regional service. In the Chelyabinsk Region, a high level of accessibility and quality of specialized and high-tech medical care for children with cancer and hematological diseases has been achieved and is consistently maintained. The results of the work of the regional center are comparable with the best clinics and regions of the country, so the child oncological mortality rate was 2.8 per 100 thousand of the child population in 2019.
