Abstract

Petrol (hydrocarbon pneumonia) is considered as a variant of lipoid exogenous pneumonia, develops during inhalation or aspiration of petroleum products (including gasoline, kerosene) and refers to rare respiratory diseases. Certain difficulties are caused by the diagnosis of this condition, given the absence of characteristic changes in blood tests, objective status data, and various symptoms during radiation diagnosis. The most informative method of investigation in this nosology is the cytological study of bronchoalveolar flushing and histological study of lung tissue biopsy. Currently, due to a small number of observations, there is no proven method of treatment. However, there is an increase in gasoline pneumonia, including in the children's population. The article considers a clinical case of hydrocarbon pneumonia in a child.
