Abstract

The purpose of this research investigated the relationship between organizational commitment (OC) and job satisfaction (JS) on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). This research was designed based on deductive approach which quantitative methods ware used for exploratory. 100 respondents were involved in this survey which 68 facilitators were from Urban Poverty Alleviation Program and 32 others were from Foundation for Development of Rural Potential. Structural equation modeling was used to test the hypothesis. This study found that organizational commitment did not have a significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior, but it had affected positive significant on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction affects positive significant on organizational citizenship behavior. Study also shows that job satisfaction resulted a significantly mediator between organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. Implication for theoretic, organizational commitment and job satisfaction are the antecedent of OCB, and for practical, job satisfaction is a major factor that should be concerned by community assistant facilitators. Study also limited on analyzed the two majors of job attitudes as a determinant of OCB within in the nongovernment organization, so in future research may analyze the other such as job involvement, perceived organizational support, etc., and also in another profession
