Abstract

Oral hygiene is the practice of maintaining the oral cavity clean and healthy by the daily oral hygiene practices mainly such as tooth brushing, interdental cleaning aids, usage of mouth rinses, cessation of tobacco usage, and regular dental visits. Every individual’s adherence to the recommended oral hygiene regime is a fundamental factor in the prevention and therapy of periodontal diseases associated with tooth loss. The current study was conducted with the aim of assessing the awareness of oral hygiene practices in individuals and also considering the difference in sociodemographic factors in population.
