Abstract

Urban phytocenosis (from Latin urbanus ? city) is an elementary vegetation site for which are characteristic relative uniformity on appearance, species composition, structure and texture, relative identical relation system between populations of species of plants and habitat, and which can independently exist out of this environment. After reviewing the methods of the quality analysis of an urban environment existing nowadays, the author concludes that any of ap-proaches doesn't consider all complex of parameters for fuller assessment of life and development of urban phytoce-nosis. Many methods are outdated or take into account the any one component of ecosystems of city parks and forest-parks (ecological, phytopathologic, estimate etc.) that doesn't allow to use them for the general evaluation of an urban environment. The complex method of the system analysis of urban phytocenosis in general has to take into account the the available achievements of science and thus possess a certain share of innovation. All components of urban phytocenosis have to be analyzed. Carrying out researches shouldn't be excessively difficult (as it is investigated the territory, big on the area), and the received results have to be given to the certain conclusion reflecting both separate components, and all urban system. The approach to determination of quality of habitat offered in the study is based on the general analysis of all urban environment, location of discount area across all of Ekaterinburg territory, and further comparison of the obtained data. In this way, the comparative characteristic of forest-parks in Ekaterinburg with use of a complex method of the evaluation of phytocenosis showed possibility of a visual assessment of the condition of vital communities with the minimum costs for carrying out these works.
