Investigating Students Strategy on Making Invitation and Refusal to the Invitation at LB LIA Bukittinggi

The study aimed to identify the strategies that the students used in making invitation and refusal to the invitation at LB LIA Bukittinggi. The study was conducted at LB LIA Bukittingi. The population of this research was the students from elementary level at LB LIA Bukittinggi. The sample for this study was chosen by using cluster random sampling in which class B was selected. The study revealed that the students used Head Act Interrogative strategy mostly in making invitation and in refusal to the invitation the students used statement of regret and excuse/reason.
