Importance of Students Involvement in Learning Process

The purpose of this research is to identify the reasons why some students of the English Department are not engaged in the learning process and provide suitable recommendations for the instructors of this department to persuade students to be more engaged in learning. To conduct the study, a number of 12 teachers of the English Department were interviewed to find out the main reasons for lack of students� engagement in the class. Based on the problems described in finding, some recommendations were suggested by instructors of the English Department and some scholars from other universities of the world.
