Abstract

The aim of this paper is to apply the concept of geographic information systems to solve the problem of distribution of potable water network in Alazhari region. The problem of the study was the lack of sufficient geographical data for the network, which leads to a high dropout rate in the network which is one of the biggest concerns and challenges facing network administrators. The large number of faults caused by the cracking and erosion of network components is a great challenge to reach an ideal network. We can also learn how to manage and maintain water networks using this technology to help decision-makers reach solutions at the lowest cost and in a timely manner by collecting, introducing and addressing the spatial and descriptive management of water networks. The geometric network of the Azhari water network was used to explain its advantages. A geographical database was created, which included the construction of layers (buildings, squares, localities and state) and a layer of water networks with their accessories and linking them to the Orcale program and then using this application to solve problems Located in the area.
