Development of an innovative economy in Azerbaijan and factors affecting this process

The article discusses the problems of the development of the national innovation system. A comparative analysis of the foreign experience of an innovative economy is carried out. A detailed study of an innovative economy based on the "Euroatlantic", "East Asian", "Alternative" model and the model "Triple Spiral". The article pays special attention to the comparative analysis of the export of innovative high-tech products in Azerbaijan and abroad. During the analysis, the methods of correlation and regression analysis of mathematical statistics have been used. These methods have been applied using MS Excel program. The official reporting materials of the World Bank, the World Intellectual Property Organization, as well as the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, have been used. According to the results conducted in the regression and correlation analysis, specific proposals to increase the export of innovative products in Azerbaijan are given.
