The Role and Importance of Information Bibliographic Activity in Providing Educational Process in Universities

The article highlights one of the most important areas of the work of the university library – the informationbibliographic information and activity and its importance and relevance of the educational process. The aim is to highlight the role and importance of information bibliographic activity in providing educational process in universities The notions of terms "bibliographic activity" and "іnformation and bibliographic service" is described. A model of new library which is dicrected on the improvement of such functions as informational, educational, pedagogical and cognitive is described. These functions include the informational support of pedagogical-educational and research processes, providing information and methodological support for students and teachers to study different sciences and to organize pedagogical-educational process. Attention is accentuated on the growing of dependence the information technology of libraries from the world trends in computer communications, as they are focused on the servicing of the intellectual and creative potential of society, which is increasingly concentrated in the leading universities of the state. Is highlighted that in up-to-day conditions of providing modern information technology, the growing role of the information in the educational and scientific processes the problem of formation and development of information person's culture takes on particular importance and is one of the priorities of higher education. Taking into account the fact that work with electronic resources requires from the bibliographers special skills, the necessity of possession of the general principles of the network, the method of the bibliographic search, text, audio, graphics, themes composition of documents and searching capabilities of the bibliographical activity; content and structure of the electronic resources of libraries and information institutions; skills of working with program products, recording information on different types of electronic media etc. The importance and topicality of the bibliographic and informational activity for providing pedagogicaleducational process in universities is highlighted. It gives possibility to navigate in space of single university as well as the whole country. Perspective of further scientific research is seen in the studying of foreign experience and bibliographic information of libraries.
