The peculiarities of results assessment of university students’ educational activity in physical education

Abstract

The approaches to assessment of university students' achievements in the course “Physical Education”, in accordance with the modern trends, have been disclosed in the article. The assessment peculiarities of knowledge and skills in physical education of university students of III-IV level of accreditation according to credits transfer system have been determined. The developed system of knowledge and skills evaluation in physical education of Mukachevo state university students have been analysed. The aim of the article – on the basis of literature and personal practical experience to make the analysis and work out the model of complex assessment of university students‘ educational activity in physical education. The results of the investigation. In the assessment of the theoretical knowledge level, it is recommended, to ensure the possibility of the study throughout the semester (to offer the individual theoretical assignments for students at the beginning of each semester, taking into account the professional component of physical education for "Bachelor" academic level of different program tracks). The assessment is carried out in a classroom environment. In the assessment of physical actions the complex knowledge assessment, method of physical exercise execution and statutory indicator are needed. A share from overall assessment for physical actions execution – is 50%. The student is assessed according to his activity and the volume of the performed assignments on each practical. A share from overall assessment – is 30%. Independent and individual student's work should be integrated with in-class work, but assessed independently only once at the end of the semester. A share from overall assessment – is 20%. Conclusions. Thus, the proposed model makes it possible to monitor the dynamics of physical fitness indices, the level of theoretical knowledge and methodological skills. It stimulates to self-tuition of physical exercises. At the same time, it encourages students to take an active part in lessons, and motivate them to attend classes regularly. The possibilities of realisation of individual and differential approaches to each student are broaden, which is exceptionally important today taking into account constant increase of the number of students having health problems.
