Professional competence of future teachers of computer science in the context of the modernization of pedagogical education

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of professional competence in the context of the modernization of pedagogical education. The requirements towards modern teacher have been suggested. Different views on the professional competence of future teachers of computer science have been analyzed. It has been proved that teacher's professional activity in the context of contemporary profile education had been supplemented by management functions. The concept of "professional competence of the teacher of computer science" has been determined. The specific components of professional competence of future teachers of computer science have been viewed. The structure of professional competence of future teachers of computer science has been analyzed. The constant increase in the volume of information increased the demands for one's professional and special training which raises the need for comprehensive social and investigate ways of teaching systems, external and internal factors of specialist educational sphere. At the same time changing the goals of education based on international requirements needs to develop new features, content, activities, forms and technologies of the educational process. Traditional teacher training activities in the context of European integration studies supplemented profile management functions with the formation of professional competence of the specialists. The requirements for professional competence of teachers in the new environment training have increased. As demonstrated by international practice, the quality of education is closely linked with the quality indicators of a teacher. Together with the changes in the society the demands towards the teacher's personality, his or her activity have also increased. Today the effectiveness of pedagogical work depends not only on basic training, but also on other components of modern professionalism. That is why the current stage of modernization of education and training in Ukraine presupposes special urgency and relevance to the issues of improvement of the professional competence of teachers. Educators have to decide such tasks that previously were not part of their jurisdiction - diagnosis, prognosis, design, development of programs, optimizing all aspects of the educational process and so on.
