Abstract
The article analyses the structure and content of professional consciousness. The category of “professional consciousness” has been determined as the key concept for psychology of education; it unites both subject-operational and motivational personal activity aspects. The concept of professional consciousness is regarded as a three components entity: meaning, sense, sensory tissue. The conceptual “meaning-sense” tandem has been analyzed within a variety of concepts. Professional consciousness has been defined as a form of consciousness of a personality which is filled with professional meanings, sense and meaningful content as well as sensory tissue.
