GROTESK İMGE ÜZERİNE YAPIT ÇÖZÜMLEMELERİ

This reserach focuses ona concept, the grotesque that has found its place in art throughout human history. The concept of grotesque, which is meaningful in every situation and time that is not reduced to a single definition, a single historical process, asisngle style, is found in ana intricate structure, especially with its naming and definitions such as uncannyness, turbidity, disgust, and purity. This reserach is bades on explanation of the concept of grotesque from past to present through sample works. The first chapter, the concept of grotesque was defined etymologically, and then it was tried to analyze how the grotesque structure was built in the art of painting through sample pictures. The second part has progressed through works (especially photography works) that can be associated with the grotesque structure in contemporary art. In these two stages, in psyhoanalytic discourse, Sigmund Freud's uncannyness, Julia Kristeva' dersire, Michail Bakhtin's grotesque, Kayser's absurd descriptions, the elements that make up the grotesque structure in the works are explained in accordance with the literature rewiew model.
