LEADERSHIP AS AN ELEMENT OF EFFECTIVE EDUCATIONAL MANAGEMENT

With the reform of the educational sector and the increase in real autonomy of educational institutions, the managerial functions of managers and the requirements for modern educational managers are changing, which in turn requires the creation of such a management elite in the educational sphere, whose leadership qualities will determine the development not only of education and science, but also of society in general. The aim of the article is to research the role of leadership as an element of building an effective educational management system based on the realization of leadership and leadership skills as well as leadership potential. An effective supervisor of an institution is one who uses leadership skills to influence the opinions and behaviour of subordinates to achieve organizational goals. At the same time, the practical realization of the professional skills of the heads of educational institutions has the greatest socio-economic effect, provided that the head and the leader are one person. The authors therefore consider that the development of a model for the training of modern leaders is a promising area for further research.
