The Effect of Regular Exercise Activity on Employees’ Mental Health and Time Management of Iran Telecommunication Company, Isfahan Region

Abstract

Objective: The present study was conducted with the aim of determining The Effect of regular exercise activity on employees’ mental health and time management. Methodology: The research method is descriptive and correlational. The research statistical population was 400 administrative staff of Iran Telecommunication Company, Isfahan region. Three questionnaires including the regular exercise activity researcher-made questionnaire, Keyes Mental Health Questionnaire (2002) and Britton and Tesser time management questionnaire (1991), were used in order to collect data. The data analysis of this study was performed using SPSS statistical software version 23 and AMOS version 23, in two levels of descriptive and inferential statistics. In the descriptive statistics section, statistical characteristics such as frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation have been used, and in the inferential statistics section, Pearson correlation coefficient test has been used. Results: The results showed that regular exercise activity with a coefficient of 0.298 has an effect on mental health and its dimensions, which include emotional well-being, mental health and social health with the coefficients of 0.292, 0.245 and 0.260, respectively. However, regular exercise activities with a coefficient of 0.094 have no effect on time management. Conclusion: Regular exercise activities of the employees of the Telecommunication company increase their mental health, but it does not have no effect on their time management.
