Abstract

The refrigeration and air conditioning system having low energy consumption and environment friendliness is the main focus of the research department Refrigeration and Air conditioning industry and technical institutes. Efficiency of the refrigeration or air conditioning system working on vapour compression refrigeration cycle can be increased by using the Magneto hydrodynamic principles. Many researchers indicated that the behavior of the refrigerant flowing through vapour compression cycle can be positively influenced by the application of the magnetic field. The eco friendliness and energy saving of the system can be also achieved by using this approach. The aim of this paper is to provide a review on the methods used to apply Magnetohydrodynamic principles on the area of refrigeration.
