Abstract

This study describes the tradition of Siraman Gong Kiai Pradah which was carried out in Lodaya, Blitar Regency, East Java. This ceremony is carried out routinely twice a year, namely on 12 Maulid and 1 Shawwal. This study uses a qualitative method with primary data sources in the form of interviews with the caretaker of Gong Kiai Pradah and observations of the implementation of the siraman tradition. Sources of secondary data obtained from documents relevant to the object of research in the form of books and journals. From the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the Siraman Gong Kiai Pradah tradition is divided into three stages, namely the preparation stage, implementation stage, and post-implementation. Each stage carried out contains local wisdom values that are thick with Javanese culture, for example, the mangle decoration which depicts unity, cok bakal which symbolizes the human relationship with God and seven barrels of water which symbolizes pitulungan, namely the hope of the Lodaya residents to always get help from God.
