Abstract

As one of the most popular languages, English has many variations. English is spoken by people liv- ing in the USA, India, Pakistan, Great Britain, Germany, Canada, Australia. Despite this, English is primarily associated with Great Britain and the United States. Similarities and discrepancies in the British and American versions of the English language today are one of the most relevant topics in the study of the English language and, in particular, Phonetics. The article examines intonational similarities and differences in the British and American versions of English, provides examples of intonation models in the American and British versions of English
