THE CONCEPT OF MUSEUM-EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT IN MODERN PEDAGOGICAL DISCOURSE

Abstract

Introduction. The modern, constantly globalizing world requires equal partnership,cooperation of cultural and educational subjects. Here the interaction of museums and educational institutions in achieving the results reflected in the social needs for an educated, cultural, creative, and intellectual person is meant. The use of modern information technologies in all spheres of human life provides a unique opportunity to combine educational and museum environments into a single and holistic system of forming a competency-oriented individual, capable of independent search for a vital way, professional including. Purpose. The article aims to highlight essence of the museum-educational environment, its structure for understanding the design features of an effective and dynamic system with given parameters, namely, the museum-educational environment for career guidance of students. Methods. The applied theoretical methods: analysis of scientific literature (to identify significant and second concepts in different interpretations); generalization and systematization (to clarify and distinguish models); synthesis (combination of individual aspects of different concepts and the concept creation that reflects the essence with new possibilities); inductive inference (in the development of a concept that reflects the new essence); modeling (representation of the concept structure, system projecting with given properties). Results. The article considered the concept of educational environment in the context of modern pedagogical discourse. It is analyzed the educational environment in philosophical, psychological, and pedagogical literature. The integration of knowledge about the educational and museum environment made it possible to define the museum-educational environment. The components of the museum-educational environment were: museum environment (objects,expositions, premises, equipment); museum-educational process (goals, content, tasks, methods, forms, means, technologies, methods); subjects (teacher and students) of museum-educational communication. Generalization of educational environment models allowed to refer the projected museum-educational environment to an integrated type: it is a combination of elements of information, innovation, research and cultural models. The integration of these models made it possible to design an effective and dynamic system with predefined parameters, namely, a museum- educational environment for career guidance of students. Originality. The author argues that the innovative approach consists in: 1) integration of educational and museum environment into a single, integral, effective and dynamic construct with new properties; 2) development of approaches, selection of models for designing a museum-educational environment with predefined properties. Conclusion. The conducted theoretical calculations further allow to organize the museum-educational process in order to provide carrer guidance to students of secondary schools.
