Abstract

Modern society, which is characterized by high levels of development, imposes new demands concerning education, which, being a necessary component of personal development, are bound to reflect the demands of time. Significant changes in education are due to this: the purpose of the modern educational process is the ability to learn on a continuous basis, to acquire knowledge, to develop and perceive thoughts, to create abilities. The fundamental role of science, which grows in the content of education, must be reflected in the educational process. Physics is the theoretical basis of most branches of modern production and is used in various fields of the human activity. One of the elements of forming the subject competence is solving the competency-based tasks in physics, which are an integral part of the educational process. This promotes acquiring the knowledge about the state of the environment, the sphere of physics laws; understanding the organic unity of man and nature, the integrity of the physical picture of the world, the levels of cognitive activity; forming the concepts in physics; using the knowledge about physics concepts to explain physical phenomena and processes; practical using the relevant laws and laws of operating the technical devices in production and in various fields of the human activity. The role of physics knowledge in human life, social and technological development, and forming the modern technologies is considered, based on experimental and theoretical methods of scientific knowledge. The interest in learning is cultivated, and the diligence, curiosity, independence, will, character, etc. are formed in the process of solving the competency-based tasks.
