Abstract
The article describes the approaches to foreign direct investment, investment legislation of Uzbekistan and the opportunities created for foreign investment. It was analyzed trends in foreign investment by regions and sectors of the economy, as well as the achievements and shortcomings in this area. Proposals for improving the investment climate are presented.
