CIVIL ACTIVITY AS A COMPONENT OF THE ACTIVE COMPONENT OF SOCIAL COMPETENCE OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS OF SOCIONOMIC SPECIALTIES

Abstract

Introduction. The profound transformational processes that have resulted from Ukraine's transition to democratic development need to find new ideas for organizing the life of society. The solution of these problems is possible in the presence of professionals who are able to interact constructively with others in the name of public goals, interests, and values. Therefore, the main goal of modern higher school pedagogy is the development of a socially competent specialist with an active life position. Specialists in socionomic specialties with high civic qualities, capable of actively expressing their civic position through socially significant, practice-oriented activities, are especially in demand. Purpose. It is shown that the social competence of the individual is an integrative social quality, including a valuable understanding of social reality, specific social knowledge as a guide to action, the subjective ability to self-determination, self-management and rule-making. Methods. The study investigates this issue by analyzing the psychological and pedagogical literature on the studied issue, systematization Results. The content of the activity aspect of social competence includes: the ability to cooperate; ability to solve problems in different life situations; mutual understanding skills; actualization of social and civic values and skills. It was presented the civic activity of future specialists in socionomic specialties as a personal quality based on the idea of civic duty and concern for the public good; awareness of the need for active participation in society; participation in socially oriented transformational activity, readiness for social changes, and ability to constructive interaction. Conclusion. The general directions in the development of civic activity in future specialists of socionomic specialties are determined: creation in the sociocultural environment of higher education of conditions for the development of a professional caring for the public good, and mastering the ways of conscious activity for other people; readiness of the person for self-improvement for the sake of achievement of social ideals; the subject's ability to design non-standard ways and new forms of civic activity that allow to solve complex problems facing people in modern society.
