CURRENT TRENDS OF UKRAINE’S ECONOMY TRANSNATIONALIZATION

The article considers the current trends of transnationalization of Ukraine's economy in the context of globalization of world economic processes. The global trend is the expansion of transnational capital into the markets of developing and transit countries. This provides both benefits to the host country and poses a threat to the national economy. TNCs' influence on internationalization is exacerbated by oligopolistic market conditions, which allow them to manipulate prices and profits, collude with other corporations to control sectors of the host country's national economies, and limit potential market penetration through dominant positions in new technologies and special knowledge. The main advantages of multinational companies in transit markets are the ability to bridge the gap between available resources (financial resources, national savings, foreign exchange, government revenues and management experience) and the resources needed to achieve desired growth and development, thanks to private foreign investment in national development. Transnational corporations also enable host companies to use benchmarking techniques, obtain the latest technology, expand markets, and more. It has been found that transnational financialization is a stable trend of modern globalization processes. In particular, in 2020, seven financial corporations were included in the TOP-10 in terms of international sales. In Ukraine, the share of services provided by subsidiaries or affiliates of multinational corporations in the fields of finance, banking and insurance has also increased significantly over the last decade. At the same time, a significant number of TNCs represented on the Ukrainian market specialize in agribusiness, food industry and trade. It is concluded that in Ukraine it is necessary to use the benefits of transnationalization of the economy, which are the potential for Ukrainian companies to enter the world market, increase the innovation and technological level of production of goods and services.
