Abstract
Molar Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH) is a systemic disease that affects one to four permanent first molars, often associated with affected incisors. The treatments for this pathology vary according to the degree and location, and can be aimed at prevention, repair, and even extirpation of the dental element. This study aims to describe the therapeutic approach for people with Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization. Based on an integrative literature review, this study discusses therapeutic approaches in patients with MIH. The period from 2016 to 2022 was taken as a reference. Using the descriptors: "Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization"; "Dental Enamel"; "; "Pediatric Dentistry"; "Treatment" in the listed databases, 77 articles were identified. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, nine articles were selected for this review. There are many recommended clinical therapies in recent literature including laser therapies alone or associated with other modalities with resin infiltration seem to be effective in treating dentin hypersensitivity. However, until now, there is no homogeneity in the existing protocols.
