Abstract

Introduction. Today, creative professions that require high artistic taste and graphic culture are quite common and in demand. Therefore, the development of artistic and graphic skills students is an important aspect of education. Artistic and graphic skills expand the opportunities of education seekers and develop spatial thinking, imagination, a sense of beauty, creative abilities, observation, and attention. Students acquire artistic and graphic skills in the lessons of fine arts, drawing, geometry, and geography. A large amount of artistic and graphic skills is formed in technology lessons in the process of studying such sections as «Interior», «Elements of mechanical engineering», «Handicrafts», and «Designing and manufacturing clothes». In the technology classes, students learn the skills to build, correctly design, understand and read drawings. They make sketches and familiarize themselves with the types of lines. When modeling a product, they study the regularities of color, proportions, and regularities of composition. Purpose. The article aims to study the psycho-pedagogical conditions for the development of artistic skills in 8th-grade students in technology lessons. Methods. Analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, classification, and systematization of modern scientific theoretical and empirical studies of an integrative approach were used. Results. By the end of the last century, in connection with the information technology revolution and the achievements of scientific and technical progress, which qualitatively changed the environment of human life, a special type of culture was actively developing – information technology, the main component of which is graphic culture. One of the means of implementing the modern educational paradigm, the connecting link between natural and humanitarian education is the educational section of «Technology», the leading task of which is the formation of project-technological culture and artistic skills as its components in students.you to connect artistic and graphic activities with various subject knowledge and skills. Studying such topics as artistic wood processing, making decorative items from wire (openwork sculpture from metal), and performing coining involves the creation of various household items in the process of creative activity and even contributes to the development of aesthetic perception of objects in the surrounding world. Therefore, the study of the class «Technology» will greatly contribute to the formation and development of the artistic and graphic culture of the students of education. Originality. Through artistic skills, we understand the realization in material, sketches, drawings, drawings, models, and products of ideal images, ideas, and fantasies, while applying the knowledge, and performance techniques acquired in technology lessons. It is natural that the use of computer technologies cannot be ignored in matters of graphic preparation nowadays. For example, during computer science lessons, students learn to create graphic images on a computer screen, work with shapes and colors, and create animations. In this regard, it is necessary to pay attention to the use of the computer in the study of the class «Technology», since the didactic possibilities of computer technologies are very wide. Conclusion. Therefore, graphic literacy and, in particular, artistic and graphic skills are necessary for students in technology classes in a general secondary education institution, therefore the psycho-pedagogical conditions for the development of artistic and graphic skills in 8th-grade students are provided by teaching them to consciously read drawings, develop graphic documentation for production parts and products, the formation of graphic literacy, the ability to reproduce objects and analyze their shapes and designs.
