Abstract

Introduction. Trends in the development of modern professional training actualize further research on the implementation of the latest pedagogical technologies in branch education, in particular, medical education. Purpose. The article aims to find out the role of simulation training in the training of future doctors, which is one of the modern pedagogical technologies that is gaining momentum in the frequency of application in the training of medical students. Methods. Theoretical methods of analysis and generalization of scientific literature, systematization, and generalization of the received information were used. Results. Simulation technologies differ depending on the level of realism of the technical means of simulation: visual, tactile, reactive, automated, hardware, interactive and integrated. It is the simulators that can repeatedly and accurately reproduce important clinical scenarios and provide an opportunity to adapt the learning situation for each student. Originality. The advantages of simulation technologies are highlighted. Various types of simulators widely used in medical education are distinguished. Technologies of simulation training, in the process of professional training of future doctors, perform several important functions, which are analyzed in the article. Conclusion. The use of modern pedagogical technologies, in particular simulation learning technologies, in the process of professional training of future doctors performs several important functions: controlling, as it reveals students' knowledge, abilities, and skills; educational, because it requires students to achieve a certain level of education; educational, as the personal qualities of future doctors are being formed.
