Abstract
In today's rapidly developing technological world, the Internet has rapidly expanded into a massive worldwide network. These days, the Internet wouldn't be possible without the TCP/IP protocol. A security upgrade for TCP/IP was suggested. This upgrade includes three new components. These include the Data Link Layer, the Security Controls, and the Security Policy. Data communications security rules and responsibilities are defined via collaboration between the system administrator and users. With the help of the security control module, the security policy module can be implemented, and security channels can be set up. IPv6's usage of IPSec addresses most IPv4 security issues, although IPSec lacks an application-layer security provision, necessitating an additional security mechanism. There is a layer in the TCP/IP architecture called the Security Layer, and it is responsible for ensuring the safety of the Application Layer by means of the Application Layer Security Protocol. The first major security vulnerability due to IPv6 tunneling within an IPv4 packet is imminent. As a result of this incident, businesses will be more motivated to take precautions against cyberattacks.
