Abstract
The present study, effect of certain neem products and chemical insecticides against tobacco caterpillar, Spodoptera litura (Fab.) on cabbage, was carried out during 2010 at Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (Deemed to be University), Allahabad. It may be concluded that spinosad @ 96.4ml/ha was found to be the best under Allahabad conditions. However, among neem products Achook 700ml/acre was found significantly superior to other neem products in terms of growth and yield. Hence, the neem products are less effective when compared to new insecticide molecules.
