Yield gap analysis of pigeon pea through FLD

Abstract
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Pratapgarh (U.P.) had conducted 131 demonstrations on pigeon pea since 2005-06 to 2011-12 in 34 adopted villages. The critical inputs were identified in existing production technology through farmers meeting, group discussion and PRA with the farmers. The average data of 07 yrs revealed that on an average, yield of demonstration plot was obtained 13.0 q/ha, over local check 11.3 q/ha and the increase average pigeon pea productivity by 36.8%. The average technological gap and technological index were found to be 14.7 q/ha and 37.0 q/ha, respectively.
