Abstract

The article analyzes the problem of features of the emotional intelligence of future psychologists. A theoretical analysis of scientific publications was carried out. These publications revealed the essence and forms of personal, social and emotional non-cognitive abilities, skills and competences, which are related to the capabilities of a person which affect his ability to overcome the pressure of the external environment. The factors influencing the ability to understand not only one's own feelings, but also the emotional states of other people to find motivation for oneself and others in this, to manage one's own emotional sphere and the emotions of others are summarized. The results of an empirical research of the features of emotional intelligence as the ability to monitor feelings and emotions (one's own and other people's) distinguish and use them to manage thoughts and actions are presented. Features of the development of objective and subjective components of emotional intelligence of future psychologists have been determined empirically. An insufficient degree of development of understanding of the emotional and sensory sphere of other people and its management in future psychologists and awareness of their own emotions and their management was experimentally revealed. It is proven that the respondents do not have the skills to make decisions aimed at managing the internal and external emotional spheres, recognizing emotions, taking into account emotional states and predicting them. The results of the empirical research led to the need for theoretical justification and implementation of a psychological program for the development of emotional intelligence of future psychologists. The presented psychologist's work system contained the following ways of realizing the program's goal, namely: the first is awareness of own emotions through finding the triggers that trigger them; the second is the observation of own emotional state and the state of others and further development of skills to identify emotions by verbal and non-verbal signs; the third is to manage own emotions. During the analysis of the results of the study after the program, it was found that the students of the control group showed an insignificant increase in the level of emotional intelligence and the degree of formation of empathic abilities and competence. The students of the experimental group significantly increased the level of general emotional intelligence and significant progress was observed in the interpersonal component and the integrative level of emotional intelligence also increased which led to an increase in the respondents' ability to manage their own emotions and recognize emotional states in other people. For the purpose of effective use of the emotional intelligence development program among future psychologists, methodical recommendations aimed both at improving the performance of students and at improving the work of teachers have been formulated
