The Extent to which Public Schools’ Principle Apply Principles of Governance in Karak Governorate from the Point of View of Teachers

Abstract

The study aims to measure the degree to which public school principals applied the principles of governance in Karak Governorate from the teachers' point of view. The study sample consisted of (240) male and female teachers, and the descriptive analytical approach was used. The scale contained (25) items distributed to five dimension. The study showed that the degree of application of public school principals to the principles of governance in the Karak Governorate from the teachers' point of view appeared with a medium degree, and that there are differences in the degree to which government school principals apply the principles of governance due to the variable of gender, in favor of males, and there are no differences in the degree of government school principals applying the principles of governance due to the educational qualification variable. The study recommended promoting good governance culture with its criteria of transparency, accounting, and sharing, in addition to adopting transparency and disclosure in all administrative transactions, and support disclosing the results of analyzing the internal and external environment of the school.
