SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY, CONTENT OF PHENOLS AND FLAVONOIDS FROM A VEGETABLE EXTRACT

This paper presents the spectrophotometric analyzes of the plant extract of Polygonum aviculare L. herba (PAH). The Folin-Ciocâlteu method was used to determine the total polyphenol content, while for the evaluation of the total content of flavonoids was also used a colorimetric method. The antioxidant activity of the PAH extract was determined using the DPPH method.
