DEVELOPMENT OF BALNEOLOGICAL RESORT SETTLEMENTS OF THE CARPATHIAN REGION

Introduction. The issue of the development of the main balneological resort settlements of the Carpathian region has been studied. The research uses general scientific methods, in particular the analytical method, methods of comparison and generalization. The prerequisites for the priority development of the system of sanatorium-resort treatment and improvement in the Carpathian region are outlined. It has been proven that the Carpathian region is the main center of balneotherapy in Ukraine. The results of this study contribute to a deeper understanding of the processes of formation and further development of the main balneological resort settlements of the Carpathian region. Purpose. The purpose is to study the development of the main balneological resort settlements of the Carpathian region, to outline the prerequisites for the priority development of the system of sanatorium-resort treatment and health, as well as to analyze the role of balneological resources in the economic development of the region. Materials and methods. The study uses general scientific methods, in particular the analytical method, methods of comparison and generalization. The research of other scientists on a similar topic is analyzed, the chemical composition of mineral waters of sanatoriums and resorts of the studied area is considered. Results. It has been proved that the Carpathian region is the main center of balneotherapy in Ukraine due to its unique natural resources, in particular mineral waters with a variety of chemical compositions, which have a significant therapeutic potential. The results of the study contribute to a deeper understanding of the processes of formation and further development of the main balneological resort settlements of the Carpathian region. It has been found that the development of balneological resorts has a positive effect on the economic development of the region, contributing to the growth of tourist flow, creating new jobs and improving infrastructure. Research prospects. Further research can be aimed at studying the effectiveness of various methods of balneotherapy, developing new therapeutic programs and strategies to increase the attractiveness of the Carpathian region as a center of sanatorium-resort treatment in Ukraine. It is also important to explore the possibilities of integrating balneological resorts into the overall strategy of sustainable development of the region, taking into account environmental and socio-economic aspects.
