Mapping the role of tiktok in academic motivation: a bibliometric analysis of university students learning engagement

This study aims to map the trend of scientific publications related to the role of TikTok in building students academic motivation with a bibliometric approach. Data was obtained from the Scopus database using a combination of keywords that lead to TikTok AND study AND motivation to make the search focus more targeted. A total of 561 documents from 2019 to 2024 were analyzed with the help of VOSviewer software. The results show that the topics of TikTok and study motivation are closely connected to the themes of digital learning, student engagement, academic performance, and the use of social media in higher education.
