Abstract
As the global construction industry pivots towards sustainability, road engineering in Uzbekistan must evolve to align with environmental and economic imperatives. This paper investigates the integration of recycled materials-such as reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) and crumb rubber-as well as renewable technologies in highway construction. Laboratory tests, field experiments, and cost-benefit analyses illustrate that sustainable materials can achieve comparable or superior performance while reducing the carbon footprint and lifecycle costs. The study proposes a roadmap for the adoption of green road engineering practices in Uzbekistan, fostering a transition towards climate-resilient infrastructure.
