Abstract
The novel coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak poses enormous problems for the artisanal sector. The effects of COVID-19 on rural artisans are investigated using a practice-based methodology in this paper. It stresses the unofficial nature of artisans' work and the ways in which government policies have made rural communities more at risk. This research analyses government documents in response to the COVID-19 outbreak to determine the economic and social effects the epidemic has had on rural artisans. We point out the major governmental obstacles and provide solutions that can help artisans recover from the pandemic's devastating effects.
