Theoretical foundations of transformation and nomination in modern English

This article examines the theoretical foundations of the processes of transformation and nomination in modern English linguistics. Special attention is paid to the linguistic nature of transformation as a mechanism of structural and semantic change, as well as to nomination as a means of naming and conceptualizing objects, phenomena, and processes in language.
