The main aim of the article was to analyze the phenomenon of Christian Romanticism in its development in the history if English literature. The main principles, stylistic and poetic peculiarities of the literary phenomenon were singled out. Special attention was paid to the oeuvre of The Inklings as the brightest representatives of Christian Romanticism in the first half of the 20th century
