Abstract

The article is devoted to the contrastive analysis of metaphorization in dif-ferent non-related languages, particularly in English and Uzbek languages. A metaphor has national and cultural peculiarities which show that the non-coincidence of metaphorical transference of meaning is the result of national-cultural properties of these languages
