Функции сценографии в исторической ретроспективе

The article deals with three main functions in the context of scenography theater. The authors note the dynamics of dominance in the history of stage design features of formation of the theater from the era of Ancient World to modern era. Special attention is determined by the stage design presented the beginning of XX century, Sergei Diaghilev's troupe plays "Russian seasons", which laid the foundation for the formation of the artistic principles of modern theater
