Ethno-cultural situation in the life of the Tatars of the Tyumen region is monitored by the author from 2001 through social monitoring indicators. Describes in detail the stages of the monitoring studies conducted from 2001?2010, in the Tyumen region, the key fi ndings for each step. Are formulated at the conclusion that the system of monitoring refl ects the modern approach to the study of ethnic and national media, and methods of data processing and analysis are adequate to the studied subjects
