Settlement for resolution of legal conflicts

This article is devoted to features of settlement, stresses advantages and disadvantages of settlement in civil litigation. The authors examine kind of settlements and their characteristics. Also this paper observes legal regulation of settlement in Russian Code of Civil Procedure and Code of Arbitration Procedure. The authors research process of conclusion of a settlement in civil and arbitration litigation, procedure of its affi rmation by judge and legal consequences. The article stresses problems of use settlement for resolution of legal confl icts in Russia. The authors offer a solution to some of these problems
