Financial and economic essence of pension provision in Ukraine

The concept of ?pensions? as a financial and economic category is defined. The essence of financial provision of pension system as part of the regulatory mechanism of financial policy in terms of economic transformation is revealed. The directions of influencing financial provision of pension system on the improvement of material welfare of pensioners are pointed out, as well as the influence on the improvement of institutional foundations of functioning of financial mechanism in social sphere of economy.
