Abstract

Oral mucosa is the site of the earliest manifestations of clinical signs in the pathology of the gastrointestinal tract. Significant part among these belong to a disease that is accompanied by a decrease in the enzymatic function of the pancreas - chronic pancreatitis. The purpose of this article is to study changes in the oral mucosa in diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. After analyzing the sources of the past 15 years, we can conclude that high prevalence of pancreatic diseases, their association with lesions of the oral mucosa shows the urgency of the problem of studying the characteristics of occurrence, course, timely diagnosis, treatment and prevention of recurrence of diseases of the oral mucosa in patients with chronic pancreatitis.
