Conceptual basis of educational activity performed by information centres of NPPS in Eastern and Central Europe

The article is devoted to the issues of educational activity performed by information centres on nuclear power operating at nuclear power plants in Eastern and Central Europe. Main approaches, principles, content, methods, and means of educational activities are defined. Communicative, activity-based, and differentiated approaches towards educational activities as well as the principles of visualization, awareness, and the principle of respect to the age and professional interests of visitors are analyzed. The main methods performed during the educational activities are narration, conversation, explanation, demonstration and professional training. The forms used by information centre staff are excursions, competitions, practical training, and elective courses.
