Abstract

There has been widespread use of digital data over the internet. The security of the data is of utmost concern for the users. Steganography and cryptography are two different techniques for data security. The main purpose of cryptography is to make message unintelligible, while steganography even conceals the existence of the hidden message. Digital images are excellent carriers of hidden information. In the present paper, a method has been proposed for LSB steganography which carries three fold security mechanism. The method uses Diffie - Hellman, RSA algorithm with a hash function. The proposed method ensures high data security, stability and ruggedness. The results of the proposed method have been compared based upon PSNR and MSE. These have been found to b e very encouraging
